Orientation Course for Catering Personnel (OCCP)
To enable candidates holding Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Catering subjects or Hotel Management to undergo an orientation course for employment on Merchant Ships, Passenger Ships and Cruise Liners. This course is intended for Graduates, Diploma and Certificate holders in Hotel Management or Catering Subjects.
  • The candidates should have passed 10th or 12th Standard exam from a recognized board with minimum of 40% marks in aggregate.
  • The candidate should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in English language at 10th or 12th standard examination from a recognized board/University.
  • A Degree or Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality & Hotel Administration, or Hotel Management & Catering Technology, or Catering or Culinary Arts or Hospitality and Tourism, of minimum six months duration from an Institution duly recognized by the State Boards / UGC approved University or approved by the National Council For Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMC) or AICTE
  • Age Limit: 18 to 28 years as on the date of commencement of the course
  • Physical Standards: Medical fitness certificate from DG Approved doctor under M.S (Medical Examination) Rule 2000 as amended.
Orientation Course for Catering Personnel (OCCP)
  • Intake Capacity: 20 Students / Batch
  • Date of Commencement of the Course: First Monday of each month
  • Total Duration: One Month (14 days for OCCP and 16 days for Mandatory STCW 2010 Courses)
  • Total Fees: Rs.40,000/- (including OCCP course fee + STCW 2010 Mandatory course fee + INDOS + CDC + Boarding & Lodging)
